ইয়ান পিটার বুচার্ট (ইংরেজি: Iain Butchart; জন্ম: ৯ মে, ১৯৬০) বুলাওয়েতে জন্মগ্রহণকারী প্রথিতযশা ও সাবেক জিম্বাবুইয়ান আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটার। জিম্বাবুয়ে ক্রিকেট দলের অন্যতম সদস্য ছিলেন তিনি। ১৯৮৩ থেকে ১৯৯৫ সময়কালে জিম্বাবুয়ের পক্ষে একমাত্র টেস্টে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলেন তিনি। ঘরোয়া জিম্বাবুইয়ান প্রথম-শ্রেণীর ক্রিকেটে ম্যাশোনাল্যান্ড কান্ট্রি ডিস্ট্রিক্টস দলের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেছেন। দলে তিনি মূলতঃ অল-রাউন্ডারের ভূমিকায় অবতীর্ণ হয়েছিলেন। ডানহাতে ব্যাটিংয়ের পাশাপাশি ডানহাতে মিডিয়াম পেস বোলিং করতেন ইয়ান বুচার্ট।

প্লামট্রি স্কুলে অধ্যয়ন করেছিলেন তিনি। ১৯৮০-৮১ মৌসুম থেকে ১৯৯৪-৯৫ মৌসুম পর্যন্ত প্রথম-শ্রেণীর ক্রিকেট চলমান ছিল তার। ম্যাশোনাল্যান্ড কান্ট্রি ডিস্ট্রিক্টসের পক্ষে খেলেছিলেন তিনি। ১৯৯৯ মৌসুমের শুরুতে প্রথমবারের মতো প্রথম-শ্রেণীর ক্রিকেটে শতরানের ইনিংস খেলেছেন।

প্রথম-শ্রেণীর খেলোয়াড়ী জীবনে খেলায় কমপক্ষে ১৩ ওভার বোলিং করেছেন। আইসিসি ট্রফিতে জিম্বাবুয়ের পক্ষে নয়টি খেলায় অংশ নিয়েছেন। আউট না হয়ে ৫৭ রান তুলেছেন ও ১৪ উইকেট পান। তন্মধ্যে, ১৯৮৬ সালের আইসিসি ট্রফির চূড়ান্ত খেলায় নেদারল্যান্ডসের বিপক্ষে ৪/৩৩ বোলিং পরিসংখ্যান গড়ে দলকে ২৫ রানে জয় এনে দেন।

ক্রিকেট বিশ্বকাপ

১৯৮৩, ১৯৮৭ ও ১৯৯২ - এ তিনটি ক্রিকেট বিশ্বকাপ প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নিয়েছেন তিনি।

অংশগ্রহণকৃত ২০টি খেলার মধ্যে ১৭টিই ক্রিকেট বিশ্বকাপে খেলেছিলেন। ১৯৮৭ সালের বিশ্বকাপে নিউজিল্যান্ডের বিপক্ষে ৭০ বলে ৫৪ রান তুলেন। এক পর্যায়ে জিম্বাবুয়ের সংগ্রহ ১০৪/৭ থাকা অবস্থায় মাঠে নেমে ২২১/৮ নিয়ে যান। ২৪৩ রানের জয়ের লক্ষ্যমাত্রা থেকে তিন বলে চার রানের পার্থক্য রেখে পরাজিত হয়েছিল তার দল। বুচার্ট রান আউটে বিদেয় নেন।[১] আইসিসি ক্রিকেট বিশ্বকাপের ইতিহাসে ৮ম উইকেটে সর্বোচ্চ রানের জুটিতে ডেভ হটনের সাথে ১১৭ রান তুলে নতুন রেকর্ড গড়েন।[১][২]

১৯৯২ সালের বিশ্বকাপে ব্যক্তিগত সেরা ৩/৫৭ করেন। আমির সোহেল (১১৪), ইনজামাম-উল-হক (১৪) ও জাভেদ মিয়াঁদাদ (৮৯) তার শিকারে পরিণত হয়েছিলেন। খেলায় তার দল ৫৩ রানে পরাভূত হয়েছিল।

টেস্ট ক্রিকেট

দীর্ঘদেহী ফাস্ট-মিডিয়াম বোলার ও নিম্ন-মাঝারীসারির ব্যাটসম্যান হিসেবে খেলতেন ইয়ান বুচার্ট। টেস্ট মর্যাদাপ্রাপ্তির পর জিম্বাবুয়ের অন্যতম খেলোয়াড়ের মর্যাদা পেয়েছিলেন তিনি। আইসিসি ট্রফিতে জিম্বাবুয়ের সফলতা লাভে প্রভূত ভূমিকা রেখেছিলেন।

৩৫ বছর বয়সে ১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ১৯৯৯ তারিখে পাকিস্তানের বিপক্ষে নিজস্ব একমাত্র টেস্টটিতে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলেন। এটিই তার সর্বশেষ প্রথম-শ্রেণীর খেলারূপে চিহ্নিত হয়ে আছে।

ক্রিকেট খেলা থেকে অবসর গ্রহণের পর সাম্প্রতিককালে দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকায় অনুষ্ঠিত অনূর্ধ্ব-১৯ ক্রিকেটে বিশ্বকাপে জিম্বাবুয়ে দলের প্রশিক্ষকের ভূমিকায় অবতীর্ণ হয়েছিলেন।
