সরকারি মুজিব কলেজ বাংলাদেশের টাঙ্গাইল জেলার সখিপুর উপজেলার অন্তর্গত একটি সরকারি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান। এটি ১৯৭২ সালের ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি প্রতিষ্ঠা লাভ করে।[১]

ইতিহাস

বঙ্গবীর আব্দুল কাদের সিদ্দিকী -এর নেতৃত্বে এ কলেজটি ১৯৭২ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জীবদ্দশায় তার নামানুসারে কলেজটির নামকরণ করা হয় ‘মুজিব কলেজ’। ১৯৭৫ সালে ১৫ আগস্ট বঙ্গবন্ধুকে নৃশংসভাবে হত্যা করা হয়। এই হত্যার প্রতিবাদে আব্দুল কাদের সিদ্দিকী সশস্ত্র সংগ্রামের ডাক দেন ও প্রতিরোধ গড়ে তুলেন। পরে তিনি স্বেচ্ছায় ভারতে নির্বাসন গ্রহণ করেন। তৎকালীন সামরিক জান্তারা কলেজটিতে মিলিটারী ক্যাম্প স্থাপন করে এবং কলেজের কার্যক্রম বন্ধ করে দেয়। পরবর্তীতে ১৯৮০ সালে প্রেসিডেন্ট জিয়াউর রহমান সখিপুর সফরে আসলে সখিপুর কলেজের নামে দুই লক্ষ টাকা বরাদ্দ করেন। বরাদ্দকৃত টাকা উত্তোলনের জন্য ‘মুজিব কলেজ’র স্থলে ‘সখিপুর কলেজ’ নাম ব্যবহার করা হয়। পরবর্তীতে আব্দুস সালাম ফকির সাহেব টাঙ্গাইল জেলা জজ কোর্টে একটি মামলা করেন। ঐ মামলার রায়ের বলে কলেজটির পূর্বের ‘মুজিব কলেজ’ নামটি পুণর্বহাল করা হয়।[২]
