কালা আজিজ (১ জুলাই ১৯৫৪ - ২৩ নভেম্বর ২০১৯) একজন বাংলাদেশী চলচ্চিত্র অভিনেতা ছিলেন। তিনি কৌতুক চরিত্রে অভিনয়ের জন্যে আলোচিত ছিলেন। কয়েক দশক ধরে তিনি শতাধিক বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রে খলনায়কের সহযোগী হিসেবে অভিনয় করেন। ওইসব চলচ্চিত্রে সাধারণত ডিপজল, আহমেদ শরীফ, মিশা সওদাগর, মিজু আহমেদ, জাম্বু, সাদেক বাচ্চু, কাবিলা, রাজীব, ডন, পারভেজ গাঙ্গুয়া, অমিত হাসান, ড্যানিরাজ, খলিলুর রহমান বাবর ও ইলিয়াস কোবরা খলনায়ক হিসেবে অভিনয় করত।[২]

অভিনয় জীবন

কালা আজীজ ১৯৮৪ সালে কাজী হায়াৎ পরিচালিত ‘মনা পাগলা’ ছবিতে অভিনয়ের মধ্য দিয়ে অভিনয়ের সাথে যুক্ত হন।[৩] অভিনয়ের পাশাপাশি এফডিসির ল্যাবেও কাজ করতেন আজিজ। কাজী হায়াৎের পরিচালনায় ‘দিলদার আলী’ থেকে শুরু করে বেশকিছু চলচ্চিত্রে কাজ করেছেন আজিজ। ‘ইতিহাস’ চলচ্চিত্রে বেশ লম্বা একটা চরিত্রে অভিনয় করে বেশ প্রশংসা পান এবং বাচসাস পুরস্কারও পান। আজিজ চলচ্চিত্রে অঙ্গনে বেশি পরিচিত ছিলেন ‘কালা আজিজ’ নামে। বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রে খলনায়কের সহযোগী হিসাবে অভিনয় করে বেশ জনপ্রিয়তা পেয়েছিলেন তিনি। নায়ক মান্না ও ডিপজলের বেশ কিছু সিনেমায় অভিনয় করে সাড়া ফেলেছিলেন আজিজ। [৪]

মৃত্যু

কালা আজিজ ডায়াবেটিস ও কিডনি জনিত রোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে শরীরের কিছু অংশে পচন ধরে ২০১৯ সালের ২৩ নভেম্বর ঢাকার কাওলা এলাকায় নিজের বাসায় মৃত্যুবরণ করেন। [৭]
