Жула́н, грычун малы (Lanius collurio) — птушка сямейства саракушавых.

Апісанне

Даўжыня цела да 17-20 см, размах крылаў 24-29 см. Маса каля 30 г. Галава і шыя шэрыя, спіна рыжавата-каштанавая, каля вачэй чорная папярочная палоска. Хвост доўгі, ступеньчаты.

Самец у гнездавы перыяд з іржава-папяліста-чорным верхам цела, ніз крэмавы. У самкі верх галавы карычневы, светлае брыво і ніз цела (у папярочныя рыскі). У самкі і самца белыя плямы каля асновы хваста. Маладыя падобныя да самкі, папярочныя рыскі таксама і на версе цела.

Спеў — ціхае, хрыплае шчабятанне з мноствам імітацый галасоў іншых птушак.

Пашырэнне

Распаўсюджаны ў стэпавай і лясной зонах Еўразіі. Арэал Еўропа (акрамя Пірэнейскага паўвострава, Ісландыі, Ірландыі, Брытанскіх астравоў і поўначы) праз Сярэднюю Азію да Томска і заходняга Алтая, Малая Азія, Каўказ, поўнач Ірана, У Еўропе памяншаецца колькасць.

Асаблівасці біялогіі

Корміцца насякомымі, часам дробнымі пазваночнымі.

Гняздо на вышыні 1-3,5 м ад зямлі ў густым кусце (радзей у кроне невялікага дрэва) бліжэй да асновы. Знешняя частка няшчыльная, з зялёных сцёблаў, карэньчыкаў і травы, месцамі з прымессю вяровак, паперы, тканін і г.д.; унутраная частка з шчыльнасплеценых завялых кавалкаў раслінных валокнаў, а таксама карэньчыкаў, пёраў або шэрсці (у лесечаста з прымессю моху). Высцілка скупая, з сухой травы і карэньчыкаў — не даходзіць да верхняга краю.

Адкладвае 4-7 яец. Яйкі пераважна крыху падоўжаныя з тупым вузейшым канцом. Афарбоўка вельмі зменлівая: крэмава-белая, белая з зеленаватым адценнем, светла-зялёная. ружовая, светла-аліўкавая або ржава-карычневыя. Характэрная рыса — плямкі ў выглядзе кальца. Глыбокіяплямкі светла-шэрыя, шэра- або светла-фіялетавыя, шэра-ружовыя; паверхневыя- светла-карычневыя, шэра- або ржава-карычневыя, карычнева-аліўкавыя.

Падвіды
