Полазы (Coluber) — род змей сямейства Вужовыя (Colubridae).

Склад роду неаднаразова пераглядаўся, раней у яго склад уключалі многія віды, якія адносяцца цяпер да іншых родаў[1]. У прыватнасці гэта адносіцца да відаў, якія сустракаюцца на тэрыторыі былога СССР: Platyceps karelini, Platyceps najadum, Hemorrhois nummifer, Hemorrhois ravergieri, Platyceps rhodorachis, Hierophis spinalis, што адлюстравана ў савецкай літаратуры[2][3].
