Алексі Клод Клеро (фр. Alexis Claude Clairaut або фр. Clairault, 7 мая 1713, Парыж - 17 мая 1765, там жа) — французскі матэматык і астраном, член Парыжскай Акадэміі (1731), замежны ганаровы член Пецярбургскай Акадэміі Навук (1754).

Біяграфія

Клеро нарадзіўся ў сям'і парыжскага выкладчыка матэматыкі. Ужо ва ўзросце дванаццаці гадоў ён здзівіў парыжскіх акадэмікаў сваёй працай аб некаторых крывых чацвёртага парадку, і яны наладзілі Клеро цэлы экзамен, каб пераканацца ў яго аўтарстве. Экзамен Клеро вытрымаў.

У 1729 годзе 16-гадовы Клеро прадставіў той жа акадэміі новы трактат: "Даследаванні аб крывых дваякай крывізны". Гэтая кніга паклала пачатак адразу тром геаметрычным дысцыплінам: аналітычнай геаметрыі ў прасторы (Дэкарт займаўся плоскімі крывымі), дыферэнцыяльнай геаметрыі і начартальнай геаметрыі.

Шэфства над юным талентам узяў П'ер Луі дэ Маперцюі, які адвёз Клеро ў Базель слухаць лекцыі Іагана Бернулі. Па вяртанні (1731) васемнаццацігадовай Клеро быў абраны членам (ад'юнктам) Парыжскай акадэміі - беспрэцэдэнтны выпадак у гісторыі Акадэміі.
