Viktor İvanoviç Çukarin (9 noyabr 1921, Krasnoarmeysk, Donetsk quberniyası — 25 avqust 1984, Lvov) — Sovet gimnastı, SSRİ-nin əməkdar idman ustası (1951), USSR-nin əməkdar məşqiçisi (1972), dosent (1963), Lvov idman institunun kafedra rəhbəri (1971), Lenin ordeni kavaleri (1957). Olimpiya Oyunlarının mütləq çempionu (1952, 1956), dünya çempionu (1954), SSRİ çempionu (1949—1951, 1953, 1955); Olimpiya Oyunlarının çempionu 1952-ci ildə 6 mükafat, 1956-ci ildə 5 mükafat, toplam 11 olimpiya mükafatı[5]). Böyük Vətən müharibəsi iştirakçısı.

Bioqrafiyası

Viktor Çukarin 9 noyabr 1921-ci ildə Novoazovsk rayonunun Krasnoarmeyskoye kəndində anadan olmuşdur. Atası don kazakı, anası isə yunan idi. 1924-cü ildə ailəsi Mariupola köçdü. Uşaqlıqdan idmana - futbola, üzgüçülüyə, avarçəkməyə həvəs göstərirdi. Atası 1937-ci ildə repressiya edildi.

Çukarin məktəbi bitirdikdən sonra əvvəlcə Mariupol Metallurgiya Kollecinə daxil oldu. Sonra Kiyev Bədən Tərbiyəsi Kollecinə qəbul olundu. Onun məşqçisi gimnastika üzrə SSRİ-nin mütləq çempionu Ajat İbadulaev idi. 1940-cı ildə Xarkovda Çukarin Ukrayna çempionu titulunu qazandı və "SSRİ idman ustası" adını aldı.

II Dünya Müharibəsi zamanı könüllü cəbhəyə getdi, yaralandı, əsir alındı. 17 hərbi düşərgədə oldu. Buhenvald həbs düşərgəsində möcüzə nəticəsində sağ qaldı. Evə qayıdan zaman anası ancaq başında olan çapıqdan oğlunu tanıya bilmişdir. Çəkisi 40 kq belə az idi.

Çukarin Kiyev Bədən Tərbiyəsi İnstitutuna müsabiqədən keçə bilmədi və Lvova Bədən Tərbiyəsi instituna daxil odu. 1949-cu ildən Sovet gimnastikasının lideri oldu, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1955-ci illərdə SSRİ çempionu oldu.
