Səyavuş[1] — Azərbaycan şairi və dramaturqu Hüseyn Cavidin 1932–1933-cü illərdə yazdığı, "Şahnamə" poemasının süjetlərindən birinin təsvir edildiyi[2] əfsanəvi-tarixi (xalq-qəhrəmanı),[3] beş pərdəli faciə (şeirlə-dram).[4] Əsər böyük fars şairi Firdovsinin 1000 illiyinə həsr edilib.[5][2] 1934-cü ildə pyes nəşr olunub.[1] Bu əsərlə özünü peşəkar rejissor kimi göstərən İsmayıl Hidayətzadə tərəfindən səhnəyə qoyulub.[5]

Süjeti

Hüseyn Cavid "Səyavuş" faciəsini Firdovsinin "Şahnamə" eposundakı "Səyavuş və Südabə" dastanının motivləri əsasında qələmə alıb. Pyesin baş qəhrəmanı Siyavuşdur. Tamaşanın mərkəzində insanın son məqsədi, xoşbəxtlik, həyatın mənası haqqında dərin fəlsəfi düşüncələrə sadiq olan gənc Siyavuşun taleyi dayanır. Əsərdə H.Cavidin məqsədi Firdovsinin "Səyavuş və Südabə" dastanında qələmə aldığı bütün epizodları başqa bir şəkildə verib. O, şahların zülmü, Südabənin qeyri-əxlaqi eşqi, Gərsivəzin hiyləğərliyi, şahların cəmiyyətdəki zalım mövqeyi və s. məsələləri qabartmaq, öz bəşəri ideyalarını qabarıq bir şəkildə ifadə edib. Pyesdə obrazlar silsiləsi belə verilib: Kavus və Südabə-nifrət qaynağı, rəqqasə və Kosa-şər qüvvələrin təmsilçiləri, Gərsivəz-hiyləgərliyin ifadəsi, Piran-sülhün carçısı, şahlar-zülmkarların hamisi. H.Cavid öz əsərində Firdovsidən gələn əsas motivləri saxlayıb. Siəyavuş pak və atasına sadiq bir şahzadə kimi təsvir olunur. Analığının hər cür fitnə-fəsadı onu yolundan döndərə bilmir. Əsərdə Kavusun müharibəyə rəvac verməsi, Gərsivəzin kin və küdurəti epizodları önə çəkilib.[3]

Əsərdə dramatik hadisələr pyesin əsas ünsürlərindən olsa da, H.Cavid onları müxtəsər və yığcam bir şəkildə təqdim edib. Siyavuş xalqın qəhrəmanlıq adət-ənənələri əsasında tərbiyə alıb, "Ədalətli ol" əhdinə əməl edir, xalqın mənafeyini müdafiə edir. Nə İranda, nə də Turanda həqiqəti və ədaləti tapa bilməyən Siyavuş həqiqətin ancaq despotizmlə mübarizədə olduğunu anlayaraq həlak olur.[2]

Tənqidçilər Siyavuşu "Şərq Hamleti" adlandırırdı.[5] Qeyd olunurdu ki, əsərdə müəllif "qədim fars və Turan saraylarının bütün ədəbsizliyini ifşa etməyə çalışır, kəndli üsyanlarını zəif göstərməyə çalışır".[1]
