Niderland Ost-Hind Şirkəti, rəsmi olaraq Birləşmiş Ost-Hind Şirkəti (nid. Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie; VOC), 17-ci əsrin əvvəllərində bir neçə rəqib holland ticarət şirkətinin (voorcompagnieën) hökumət tərəfindən yönəldilmiş və birləşməsi ilə qurulmuş erkən meqakorporasiya idi.^[1][2] Proto-sənayeləşmə dövründə ^[3] Muğal Hindistanı ilə ticarət etmək üçün qurulmuş bir şirkət olaraq 20 mart 1602-ci ildə yaradıldı.^[4] Əsasən də ən inkişaf etmiş Benqal Subah olaraq bilinən bölgədən 50% -i toxuculuq və 80% ipək idxal edildi.^{[5][6][7][8][9]}

Amsterdam Fond Birjasının həyəti (holland dilində Beurs van Hendrik de Keyser). 1611-ci ildə VOC tərəfindən dünyada ilk rəsmi birjaya başlandı.

1602-ci ildə qurulan Niderland Ost-Hind Şirkəti (VOC) dünyada ilk rəsmi olaraq siyahıya alınan açıq bir şirkət olaraq ədviyyat ticarəti ilə başladı. Elə həmin il VOC dünyanın ilk qeydə alınan "Birinci ictimai təklif"i həyata keçirdi. "Birinci ictimai təklif" şirkətə 6.5 milyon girov dəstini tez bir zamanda yığmağa imkan verdi. VOC-un institusional yenilikləri və iş təcrübəsi^[10][11] indi dünyanın iqtisadi sistemlərində yaxşı və ya pis olmasına üstünlük verən müasir qlobal korporasiyaların və kapital bazarlarının yüksəlişinin əsasını qoymuşdur.^[12]
