David Rabinoviç (ing. David Lincoln Rabinowitz; 1960) — Neptunxarici cisimlərin kəşfi üzrə tədqiqatlar aparan komandanın üzvü olan amerikan astronom.

Karyerası

David Rabinoviç Yerə yaxın və Koyper qurşağında yerləşən kosmik cisimlərin öyrənilməsi üçün proqram və kameraların təkmilləşdirilməsi üçün işlər görmüş və nəticədə ölçüsü 1 km-dən daha böyük olan cisimləri müşahidə etməyə imkan yaranmışdır.[1][2] Bununla yanaşı, onun fəaliyyəti nəticəsində kvazar və ifrat yeni ulduzlar haqqında da ətraflı məlumat əldə etmək mümkün olmuşdur. Bu məlumatlar əsasında Günəş sisteminin təkamülü və qalaktikaların genişlənməsinə imkan yaradan qaranlıq enerji daha yaxşı başa düşülmüşdür. Kvazar Ekvator Tədqiqat komandasından olan Mayk Braun və Çad Truyillo ilə birlikdə 90377 Sedna, Erida, Makemake kimi Neptunxarici cisimlərin kəşfi prosesində iştirak etmişdir.[3][4][5]
