Ramon Ferrer Navarro (1946, Vila-real) ye un historiador valencianu, doctor n'Historia Medieval pola Universidá de Valencia y presidente de l'Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua (AVL) dende 2011.[1]

Biografía

Dempués de doctorase na Universidá de Valencia foi profesor del departamentu d'Historia Medieval de la mesma universidá. Amás, ye académicu de la Real Academia de Cultura Valenciana dende l'añu 1984. Foi nomáu académicu tamién de l'AVL dende'l so entamu en 1998, a propuesta del Partíu Popular. Ramón Ferrer moderó les sos posiciones llingüístiques iniciales, cercanes al secesionismu llingüísticu, de tala forma que defendió'l dictame que promulgó l'AVL en reconocencia de la unidá llingüística ente'l catalán y el valencianu.[2]

El 18 de payares de 2011 consiguió ganar les eleiciones a presidente de l'AVL, frente al filólogu Manuel Pérez Saldanya, qu'ocupaba la presidencia del ente de manera interina dempués de la dimisión de l'anterior presidenta, Ascensió Figueres, qu'abandonó l'academia pa formar parte de les llistes del Partíu Popular nes eleiciones xenerales de 2011.

A principios de 2014 la definición de valencianu realizada pola AVL causó discutiniu. En febreru de 2014 recibió dos ataques con pintaes na so casa atribuyíes al GAV nos que se-y acusaba de pancatalanista.[3] Tamién en rellación con esi discutiniu, dimitió del so puestu na RACV en marzu de 2014.[4]
