Weaver played all 12 games as a true freshman in 2019 and recorded 12 catches for 166 yards.[1] The following year, he appeared in eight out of nine games and started two, having 10 receptions for 136 yards.[1] In 2021, Weaver started 10 of 11 games for the Bulls and had a team-leading 41 catches for 715 yards and two touchdowns, earning first-team all-conference honors by Pro Football Focus and second-team honors by Pro Football Network.[1][6] Weaver had career-highs with 53 catches for 716 yards and six touchdowns, being named second-team All-AAC.[7]
Weaver announced his intention to transfer in 2023, after receiving an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[7] He ultimately joined the Colorado Buffaloes, and finished his stint at South Florida with 1,735 receiving yards, fourth all-time at the school, and 116 receptions, which ranks sixth.[8] He joined his teammate at South Florida, Jimmy Horn Jr., at Colorado, and was described as a training camp standout.[9][10] In his Colorado debut, he helped them upsetTCU 45–42 and recorded 118 receiving yards.[11] One week later, he caught 10 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown in a 36–14 victory over Nebraska.[12]
Weaver signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2024.[16] He made the Cardinals 53 man roster out of training camp, the only UDFA signed by the team to do so.
