Vincent Farrar (25 February 1947 – 13 July 2017) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and coached in the 1980s. He played at representative level for Great Britain , England and Yorkshire , and at club level for Featherstone Rovers (captain ), Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks , Hull FC and the Sheffield Eagles (captain ), as a prop , hooker or loose forward ,[ 1] was captain of Hull during the 1978–79 season and 1979–80 season ,[ 4] and coached at club level for Featherstone Rovers .[ 2]

Vince Farrar made his début for Featherstone Rovers on Saturday 21 August 1965,[ 9] in the summer of 1977 he was the subject of a transfer bid from Bradford Northern ,[ 10] in 1977 he was transferred to Hull F.C. for a fee £10,000 (based on increases in average earnings, this would be approximately £90,560 in 2016).[ 11]
