Vangelis Panakis (Greek: Βαγγέλης Πανάκης; 8 June 1933 – 23 January 2017) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a forward for Panathinaikos and a later manager.^[1] His real name was Panopoulos. He played in 14 matches for the Greece national football team from 1954 to 1962.^[2] He was also part of Greece's team for their qualification matches for the 1954 FIFA World Cup.^[3]
