@Kent G. Budge The Navajo and Apache arrived in NM in the 15th century, a little before the Spanish did. As Athabascans, they likely originally came from the [Yenisei?] River basin in Siberia, then took the usual route into NA just before it got cut off by the sea. They stayed in Canada where some Athabascan tribes still live today, until a small group journeyed here a few centuries ago to become Apache (Comanche-like Athabascans) and Navajo (Pueblo-like Athabascans). They tell a version of this story through oral tradition, with their version of an origin sipapu being "somewhere up north". They are unrelated to the other American tribes which came over thousands of years ago as the Paleoindians. As a Pueblo, I jokingly (although it's true) tell my Navajo friends that "the Dine-tah (Navajo homeland) is Pueblo territory, na?". We taught them to farm; Spanish taught them to ranch. They are very good stewards of the land though; my ancestors just overfarmed and used up all the resources until it was time to pack up.
Alas, I misunderstood the sentence; It was referring to a specific period (Spanish arrival), not about the arrival of peoples in the valley in general, which is why I redacted it. However, I, too, found the fact about the Navajo interesting. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Height above sea level a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Height above mean sea level. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Hello. I reverted one of your edits on apparent magnitude today.[1] Apparent magnitude does not necessarily have to be on Earth. An example is that from Alpha Centauri, the Sun has a magnitude of about 4th. This is a common error in this article, and has a discussion is on the talk page. It has been reverted many times.
