User, User:Montanabw, when that happens, it generally means either the site mirrored the page very, very quickly or - more usually - that an article was created with content split from another article. In those cases, the bot flag is actually helpful, since it allows us to check and make sure that any necessary attribution was given and correct it if not. A lot of people think that Wikipedia's content is public domain, so they copy from articles without thought of the licensing requirements. But if copying somebody else's work on Wikipedia without attribution, it actually is a copyright problem. Yes and I did all that. The bot was so fast that the warning message showed up before I got all the bells and whistles put up on the talk page.  :-P

The bot will flag it whether you put up the bells and whistles or not, User:Montanabw. :) You just remove the notice, and don't worry about it. The people who work WP:SCV will simply flag that it was a mirror and move on. Hm, last time I ran into an issue splitting an article, it was all about putting the copy to/from tags on the talk page. A recent hoaxing case has involved repeated creations of hoax articles, and insertion of hoax information into articles. (See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Cassidydonovan.) The hoaxes are:

• Shannon Sixx – supposedly the little brother of Nikki Sixx
• Charles Harrington O'Neal III – supposedly the estranged father of actor Ryan O'Neal
• Harry Beckham – supposedly the little brother of footballer David Beckham

Is there a way to put an edit filter in place to prevent someone adding these names? Much of the information is taken from the American Jewish Archives and I have authorization to use the material. I can send you proof. This is the first time I have submitted an entry to Wikipedia. It needs a lot of work such as links to other pages, but I do not want to go through that energy until I know this page had been approved.

It should not be depending on random template parameters: you should not be including the sections of those databases that list the EB11 or EB9 at all. You know perfectly well they're in the public domain and you know the URLs involved. Err, wait. If you are referring to CorenSearchBot, then you need to provide a bit more detail if there is something bad going on. "This thing" has been out into the wild for well over seven years with nothing but minor issues that are swiftly fixed when they occur. If you are referring to some other bot, then it definitely isn't mine (I operate only CorenSearchBot) and you probably need to contact its maintainer as I am unlikely to be able to help.

My page 'Team Kshatriya' was deleted an hour back. The reason being you thought it had copyright issues. This is not the case. We own www.bajateamkshatriya.com and had put up a Wiki page to reach out to our alumini, our college students and sponsors. We want them to know what we do and how good we are at our business. The page of extreme importance to us and I look forward to resolving the issue at the earliest!

Hi, an automatic message came that the page I was creating was copied from its topic's website. When I reformulated the phrases, it still denied to upload it, so I don't know what to do. How much of the content can be formed the same way as it was in another website (which is among the references)? Do I have to find completelly different grammatical solutions, too, or is it enough to replace the words with synonimes? Since the content of the original website was carefully created, it is pointless to create a complettely new introduction to the same subject on wikipedia (especially because I am not a native speaker of English, so it would be unneccessarily hard to ask this.) thank you!
