Wrong. The source is the London Evening Standard article "BNP man out over Ecuador girlfriend, dated 30 April 2002. The article has been used as all editors do as a source for writing. It is not a copy of the copyright work, but a synthesis of the information contained within it. The source has been correctly referenced. As the other users above noted, the text used was copied for our Web site, to describe our journal. I wrote both versions. However, I edited the text on the wikipedia page so that it draws from the original, but does not copy it entirely.

I moved Justice Dickinson's bio from Mississippi Supreme Court to his own page because of a request for split. I assumed that since the material was already on the Supreme Court page, it did not violate any copyright. Within seconds, the Jess H. Dickinson article was deleted. Now his bio is no longer on the supreme court page, nor does he have his own article. It looks like you accidentally ferreted out a direct plagiarism from the MS supreme court site; I am unfamiliar with the licensing that state places its governmental material under, and it might have been allowable, but it was definitely a direct copy. I noticed at the time that Tango reinserted the material you blocked me for adding to Giles Hattersley, but didn't think anything more of it, distracted as I was dealing with my own blocking. Now I've just seen elsewhere that you blocked him aswell. Subsequently reading the opinions at his talk page where he is unblocked after one hour, especially from other admins over what constitutes a personal attack, I am less than happy at how I got shafted over this incident, in which you have still failed to show I was intentionally attacking Giano - you seem to have absolutely no shame in levelling the same theory at Tango, an editor registered since Dec 2002, that you did to me, that the simple fact we are experienced editors that would have never seen a user's name linked in an article (I am still entirely unconvinced this is even true, especially for Wikipedia related text, but I have not researched it), we 'just should have known' it was considered a personal attack, blockable after no warning after making one edit/revert. Like I said, I would be willing to take it as 'ignorance is no defence' if this appeared in any policy text that I had just missed. And judging by his unblock request, he was not mistaken about what he was re-adding. So, quite clearly, you are attributing some malicious motive to me, that you aren't to Tango. Had I known of that discussion at the time, I have a good idea that things might have gone differently for me. It's not like I can do sod all about it now. His comment was about the entire paragraph, not just that line. It just suits your motives to interpret it that way. I've just had a message from your bot telling me that I have just "copied" the blurb from the book Warchild (Star Trek) directly onto Wikipedia. This isn't true - I wrote it directly from the back cover of the book, which is in front of me, and it is the same on Memory Alpha, as shown here. I've tried to create a new page for the film Mike's Murder and I think the bot thought this page already existed - but the already existing page is about the soundtrack. I am not sure how to make the distinction clear, how to disambiguate and would appreciate help in a way. I received a notification regarding copyright infringements for Heather Neff. An infringement was not my intent. I know Heather personally, wanted to ensure she received props in the Eastern Michigan University - Notable Faculty article. A minor point of clarification which will likely not have any impact, but a few people have asked me about it. I asked NYB to change his vote because I believe that his statement supports an accept vote, not a decline vote.

However, as for whether I personally feel a case should be opened, I'm still rather torn. A full-blown has the potential to be quite nasty. Though I see your point that an RFC could be equally nasty.

In this particular case, the net effect would end up being pretty much the same (that is, if Brad switches to accept then the case opens).
