How can this be spam or copyright violations when it was made by the founder/director of this group and the person who's articles are named? I put the website together and put this page/article together. Hi Coren, question on copying: the page Tasiujaq, Quebec is an almost exact copy of the town's website [3]. The text was added in the first three revisions of the article, indicating pretty clearly that the copying was done into Wikipedia. There is no copyright notice on any page of the nvtasiujaq.ca site that I can see. Does anything need to be done here, and if so what? Thanks. The seal used on Kent State University Stark Campus article located here uses the elements from the main Kent State University seal (found here) but the Stark seal image claims it is "self made" and has no copyright attached to it. I know of no such seal for just the Stark campus (they simply use the main University seal), so I'm wondering if this image falls into a copyright problem. There are similarities between the www.aber.ac.uk and the page I created because both list books and other publications by Marie Breen Smyth, and by their very nature, their titles are identical. So please don't penalise me for plagurism, when all I am doing is listing MBS's publications, which are listed in various places on the web.

Hiya. Your bot was accurate, but premature. The resection page was a mix of information and disambiguation, so I was attempting to sort it out. This involved taking a large chunk of the page and moving it to a new article, then sorting out what was left for disambiguation. I'd just saved the 'chunk' and got a message from your bot about possible duplication - so it was true, but only for a few minutes until I removed that chunk from the original page. Maybe you could build a short delay in - say 5 or 10 minutes before notification, but it's no big deal. I am the Web administrator for the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands and am posting information about our parks to Wikipedia by copying text from our Web pages and pasting into Wiki. I received a "blatant copyright infringement" deletion because the text matched text from http://www.themaineshop.com/parks/twolights.htm. This text was copied from our public site by this business and pasted into theirs. As a public agency, we have no problem allowing people to take text and images from our site but we do reserve the right to be allowed to post our own text and language on sites such as Wikipedia even if someone else has copied our text to their page first.

The bot incorrectly flagged some edits I made as being copyright violations. Apparently there are two people named Henry Varnum Poor -- one a financier, and one an artist. Their content was combined into one article, and I separated them into two. Doing so caused the bot to flag the edits as being copied from some Turkish-language site (see the note it left on my talk page).
I will remove the message from my talk page in a few days, though it will still obviously be accessible through the page history.

A page was titled North county fight club when it should have been North County Fight Club. As a result, a few links were not coming through. Because I couldn't figure it out I just made another page identical with the proper capitalized heading. If you could delete the old one that would be great. Thanks

I am the former deputy director of the publishing agency, US National Commission on Libraries and Information Science (NCLIS). I served from 1998-2003. The Commission's princples are among it's most important policy statements on government information. They - and all other Commission publications - are in the public domain. If you look at the CNI page that was identified as the source that implied copyright infringement, you will see that it is a reproduction of the Commission's work.
How can I get this page restored? Once it is restored, I will add a statement clarifying the copyright status.
I am new to wikipedia and would welcome your assistance in preventing this type of problem going forward.

Summerhill Article
I recently noticed that the Summerhill Atlanta article had been tagged as having copyrighted content. The historical summary was written by me for the Summerhill Atlanta neighborhood site, which is linked to at the bottom of the article. As a member of the board of the Organized Neighbors of Summerhill (and the writer of the text), I donate this copy to Wikipedia. The historical summary should be consistent, so we prefer the text to be similar if anything. I have been reading up on the history of our community, so I look forward to contributing more information.

Yes I did a copy of the article Ai no Gakko Coure Monogatari, to a new article called Ai no Gakko Cuore Monogatari - the correct name of the anime.
I did a redicect to the right page at Ai no Gakko Coure.
I didn't change the content, and through it we can see the correct name, only the article name was wrong. Have placed a hang on. BMV Artist- should not be deleted because the information is not a copyright violation. I don't understand why the page I attempted to create, Dark Familiar, has been protected. I tried four times to add information that described the book. The first time I posted reviews and a synopsis, as well as ISBN numbers and prices for both hardback and paperback, and I was told that it was spam. I took the prices out, and the page was deleted. Then I put in a very scaled-back version of what I'd posted before, with just a few comments about the book, and the page was deleted. Then I decided that I couldn't put anything in without it being deleted, so I just said that it was a book by Aleda Shirley, published in 2006. Now THAT has been deleted and the page has been protected so I can't add anything to it. What gives? It's like you don't want any information about the book in your archives. I'm not selling anything. Dark Familiar was a critically acclaimed book of poetry by a woman who died on June 16, 2008. What needs to be done so that information about the book doesn't get deleted as soon as it's added? Je suis administrateur sur WP.fr et il n'y a pas d'équivalent à ton Bot pour rechercher automatiquement sur le Web le contenu d'un article récemment créé qui recopie intégralement ou partiellement le texte d'un site. J'ai demandé à un dresseur de Bot s'il pouvait s'occuper de la création d'un Bot similaire, mais il semble que cela soit assez compliqué à cause d'un problème de langage à adapter et parce qu'il faut laisser tourner 24/24 sa machine. Est-ce que tu serais intéressé pour créer un CorenSearchBot sur WP français ? Si oui ce serait vraiment formidable pour toutes les personnes participant à la maintenance journalière de Wikipédia et si non je comprendrais parfaitement car il faut du temps et de la motivation pour le mettre en fonction. I am replacing Blast (venue) with Blastbeat (Music and Multiemdia Company). The company has changed names since the first Wiki entry. We are no longer a venue. I have virtually deleted all the information on the Blast (venue) page, as a lot of it was misleading. Blastbeat will be a more accurate description of the company, but will keep a lot of the information used in Blast (venue). I have authorisation from the CEO's of the company to do so.

Perhaps you should block this type of redirect - I did not copy the page clearly, it is just a mirrored link.
