Village in Yazd, Iran
Shahneh (Persian : شحنه )[ a] is a village in, and the capital of, Fajr Rural District of the Central District of Yazd County , Yazd province, Iran . The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Kheyrabad .[ 4]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 878 in 241 households.[ 5] The following census in 2011 counted 894 people in 270 households.[ 6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,171 people in 359 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[ 2]
