The Montana Grizzlies basketball team represents the University of Montana in men's college basketball . They compete at the NCAA Division I level and are members of the Big Sky Conference . Home games are played at Dahlberg Arena located inside the University of Montana's Adams Center. The Grizzlies have appeared in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament 12 times, most recently in 2019 . Montana's best finish in the NCAA tournament was in 1975 when they appeared in the Sweet 16.
