Meet Me in the Bathroom is a 2022 documentary film. It is based upon the book of the same name by Lizzy Goodman .[ 3] [ 4] [ 5]
The film's directors, Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, had previously filmed performances of the band LCD Soundsystem for their 2012 documentary Shut Up and Play the Hits . In this film the scope is widened to other bands in the late 1990s and early 2000s New York music scene, including the Strokes , Interpol and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs .[ 6]
The film touches on various topics including the effects of the September 11 attacks , the impact of peer-to-peer file sharing and gentrification on musicians, as well as band members experiencing drug addiction and misogyny.[ 7] [ 8]
