As minor planet discoveries are confirmed, they are given a permanent number by the IAU's Minor Planet Center (MPC), and the discoverers can then submit names for them, following the IAU's naming conventions. The list below concerns those minor planets in the specified number-range that have received names, and explains the meanings of those names.

Steven Terlaeken (born 1969), nicknamed Stoofke, created Loop naar de maan ("Run to the moon"), a fund raising event for cancer research organised by Kom op tegen Kanker - Belgium.
Pascal Aubert (born 1966), a French amateur astronomer and observer of solar eclipses all over the world. He has also participated in humanitarian education activities in Madagascar.
Laurent Vadrot (born 1975) is secretary-general of the Association Française des Observateurs d´Etoiles Variables. He is heavily involved in the protection of the night sky and in the development of an astronomy station in the Morvan Regional Nature Park (Burgundy).
