List of high commissioners of Canada to India
The ambassador of Canada to India is the official representative of the Canadian government to the government of India . The official title for the ambassador is High Commissioner for Canada in the Republic of India . The current Canadian high commissioner is Cameron MacKay who was appointed on the advice of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on December 20, 2021.[ 1]
The High Commission of Canada is located at 7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110 021, India.
As fellow members of the Commonwealth of Nations , diplomatic relations between Canada and India are at governmental level, rather than between heads of state . Thus, the countries exchange high commissioners, rather than ambassadors .
