Kwesi Zion Pira Kawawa (born 5 December 2001) is a footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Tanzania national football team.[1] Born in Sweden, he played for the Tanzania national team.
Club career
Born in Sweden,[2] He made 14 appearances for Hammarby TFF during the 2021 season. He signed for Syrianska in January 2022.[3] He made his debut for his new club in April 2022 against his former club Hammarby TFF, and kept a clean sheet.[4]
In 2023, he signed for Danish side Karlslunde IF,[5] although was not first-choice goalkeeper in his first season.[6]
International career
He made his debut for Tanzania in November 2023, in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Morocco.[7] He was included in the Tanzania squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.[8][9]
