Jafarabad (Persian: جعفراباد)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Jafarabad Rural District of the Central District of Jafarabad County, Qom province, Iran.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 845 in 190 households, when it was in the former Jafarabad District of Qom County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 707 people in 189 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 919 people in 279 households.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jafarabad County, and the rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[4]
