The town of Hull was named for David B. Hull who was one of the original settlers in the area.[5]
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 32.6 square miles (84.5 km2), of which 32.6 square miles (84.3 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km2), or 0.21%, is water.
Demographics
At the 2020 census there were 756 people, 286 households, and 225 families living in the town. The population density was 23 inhabitants per square mile (8.9/km2). There were 270 housing units at an average density of 8.3 per square mile (3.2/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 95.4% White, 1.7% from other races, and 2.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.4%.[2][Note 1]
Of the 286 households 40.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.4% were married couples living together, 2.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.3% were non-families. 17.1% of households were one person of which 9.1% were aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.99. [Note 2]
The age distribution was 28.7% under the age of 18, 13.4% from 18 to 24, and 12.8% 65 or older. The median age was 33.8 years. For every 100 females, there were 111.0 males. [Note 2]
