Professional wrestling career

Early career (2006–2012)

Micevski began his professional wrestling training under the tutelage of Rip Impact and Ernie Moore in 2006. He has stated he did not learn much during this time, instead gaining the larger part of his early experience on the road while traveling with Michael Elgin, whom he credits as his mentor.[5] He made his professional wrestling debut on November 12, 2006 at a Pure Wrestling Association event in Brantford, Ontario as Julian Logan in a four-way match, which was won by Indy Soldier.[4]

Independent circuit (2013–2024)

On December 30, 2013, Page and Elgin as Men of the Year (MOTY) defeated Kung Fu Manchu (Louis Lyndon and Marion Fontaine) and Zero Gravity (Brett Gakiya and CJ Esparza) to capture the AAW Tag Team Championship at "One Twisted Christmas".[6] He began wrestling for Evolve in 2014. At Evolve 84, he faced Zack Sabre Jr. for the Evolve Championship in which he came up on the losing end.[7][8]

During the summer of 2017, Page teamed up with ACH as the Troll Boyz. On September 22 at Evolve 92, the Troll Boyz defeated the Lethal Enforcers (Anthony Henry and JD Drake) to win the Evolve Tag Team Championship. On September 23 at Evolve 93, the Troll Boyz lost the titles to Doom Patrol (Chris Dickinson and Jaka). On September 28, it was revealed that he is no longer with Evolve.[9][10]

On May 22, 2015, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) held its annual one night Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament (DDT4), where he teamed with Josh Alexander as Monster Mafia. They defeated World's Cutest Tag Team (Joey Ryan and Candice LeRae) in the first round winning the PWG World Tag Team Championship in the process. Monster Mafia were eliminated from the tournament and lost the titles to the Beaver Boys (Alex Reynolds and John Silver) in the second round.[11]

Ring of Honor (2014)

Micevski worked a number of matches for Ring of Honor (ROH) in 2014 as Ethan Gabriel Owens. On April 18, he defeated Zizou Middoux in a Future of Honor match. On April 25 in a match taped for ROH TV, he was defeated by Silas Young. On June 6, the first night of Road to the Best in the World was held in Carbondale, Illinois. He was defeated by Tommaso Ciampa. On June 7, the second night of Road to Best in the World was held in Collinsville, Illinois. He defeated Middoux in the opening match. On July 18, night two of the Summer Heat Tour was held in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lost a four-way match which was won by R.D. Evans. The match also included Matt Taven and Moose. On July 26 in a match taped for ROH TV, while teaming with long-time tag team partner Josh Alexander as Monster Mafia, they fell in defeat to then ROH World Tag Team Champions ReDRagon (Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish). On September 6 at All Star Extravaganza VI, Moose and Evans defeated Monster Mafia, The Decade (Adam Page and B. J. Whitmer), Caprice Coleman and Takaaki Watanabe in a four corner survival tag team match.[12]

Impact Wrestling (2017–2021)

Page as Impact World Tag Team Champion, 2019

Early appearances (2017–2018)

Micevski made his Impact Wrestling debut on the November 30 episode of Impact!, portraying a character named Chandler Park, who is the storyline cousin of Joseph Park.[13] On the January 4, 2018 episode of Impact!, Park defeated Jon Bolen in his first match with the company.[14] On the January 18 episode of Impact!, after being destroyed by Kongo Kong as a part of Kong's feud with Abyss, Park would be removed from TV.[15]

Now using the Ethan Page ring name and gimmick, he returned on the October 4 episode of Impact! by interfering in a match between Rich Swann and Matt Sydal, costing Swann the match and aligning himself with Sydal, re-establishing himself as a heel.[16] On the October 18 episode of Impact!, Page made his in-ring debut, where he defeated Trevor Lee.[17] At Bound for Glory, Page and Sydal lost to Swann and Willie Mack.[18] In early 2019, Sydal parted ways with Impact Wrestling, thus ending their alliance.[19]

The North (2019–2021)

On the April 12 episode of Impact!, Page reunited with his former tag team partner from the independent circuit, the debuting Josh Alexander as the two reformed Monster Mafia, now called The North, and made their in-ring debut as a team by defeating jobbers El Reverso and Sheldon Jean.[20] On July 5 at the Bash at the Brewery 1 event, The North defeated The Latin American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) to win the Impact World Tag Team Championship for the first time.[21][22] They would retain the titles for over a year, until they lost them to The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin).[23] The North regained the titles at Bound for Glory, but lost them again a few weeks later against The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).[24]

In preparation for his departure from Impact Wrestling at the end of his contract,[25] a storyline began where Page began to blame Alexander for their losses, causing the breakup of the North. Page made his final appearance at Hard to Kill, where he was "killed" by his alter-ego, The Karate Man, in a cinematic match.[26]

All Elite Wrestling / Return to ROH (2021–2024)

Men of the Year; American Top Team (2021–2022)

After leaving Impact Wrestling, Micevski signed a three-year contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).[27] On March 7, 2021 at Revolution, he made his debut as the mystery entrant in the Face of the Revolution ladder match in a losing effort, going under the Ethan Page ring name.[28][29]

On the March 29, 2021 episode of Dark: Elevation, Page formed an alliance with Scorpio Sky.[30][31] Shortly afterward, they began feuding with Darby Allin and Sting,[32] but were defeated in a tag team match at Double or Nothing.[33] On the June 18 episode of Dynamite (taped June 6), Page and Sky, now going by the Men of the Year, defeated Allin in a two on one handicap match.[34] On the July 14 episode of Dynamite, Page was defeated by Allin in a coffin match, ending the feud.[35]

The Men of the Year would later align themselves with Dan Lambert of American Top Team,[36] and from then on, accompanied Lambert while he cut his promos.[37][38] This continued until the September 15 episode of Dynamite, where The Inner Circle's Chris Jericho interrupted Lambert and a match between the Men of the Year and Jericho and Jake Hager was set for the September 24 episode of Rampage,[39] in which they were victorious.[40]

The feud with The Inner Circle would continue for the next month. On the October 27 episode of Dynamite, Page would challenge Sammy Guevara for the AEW TNT Championship in a losing effort. At Full Gear, Men of the Year teamed up with American Top Team to face The Inner Circle in a Minneapolis Street Fight in a losing effort, ending the feud.

The Firm and storyline with Matt Hardy (2022–2023)

In the lead up to All Out, Page was recruited by Stokely Hathaway along with Lee Moriarty, Colten Gunn, Austin Gunn, and W. Morrissey. On the September 14 episode of Dynamite, the name of his group was revealed to be "The Firm" and that they were MJF's "retainer team". helping him whenever he would need them. On the October 14 episode of Rampage, Page defeated Private Party's Isiah Kassidy, which saw Matt Hardy and Private Party joining The Firm.[41] Over the next few weeks, Hardy was banned from using the Hardy theme and the Twist of Fate.

On the February 3, 2023 episode of Rampage, Page, Hardy and Kassidy were unsuccessful at winning the AEW World Trios Championship from The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks).[42] Page would have a short feud with Hook, the feud would culminate with Page unsuccessfully challenging Hook for the FTW Championship in an FTW Rules match. On the April 12 episode of Dynamite, Page and The Firm assaulted Hardy, Kassidy, and Hook until Jeff Hardy returned to make the save. On May 28 at the Double or Nothing Buy In, Page and The Firm would be defeated by The Hardys, Kassidy, and Hook, after which Matt Hardy took ownership of Page's contract.[43]

On the June 30 episode of Rampage, Page jumped in the ring to prevent Q. T. Marshall and Johnny TV from doing any more damage to Matt Hardy. Page clocked Marshall, but then Johnny TV knocked Page off his feet with a thrust kick. Page turned face in the process.[44]

Final matches and departure (2023–2024)

On the July 1 episode of Collision, Page confronted MJF by slapping the mic out of his hand until MJF agreed to put the belt on the line which he was unsuccessful at winning the AEW World Championship.[45]

Page made his return to ROH, now the sister promotion of AEW, on the September 14, 2023 episode, defeating Griff Garrison. Over the next few weeks, Page was scouted as a potential client for "Smart" Mark Sterling, but Page turned down the invitation. Page went on a winning streak of five matches in a row. His next match was against Tony Nese, which he lost due to Sterling's interference. On the rematch, Sterling was ejected from ringside and Page won the match. For the rubber match, Sterling demanded he be allowed at ringside, and management agreed under the condition that Sterling will be handcuffed to the ring post. The official contract signing took place on the December 7 episode of ROH Wrestling, where Sterling told Page that the match would be an "I Quit" match. Page and Nese then signed the contract and Sterling threw powder into Page's eyes, with Nese tossing Page through a table. The match was then made official for Final Battle.[46] At the event, Page defeated Nese with the help of a returning Scorpio Sky.[47] On the December 5 episode of Collision, Page was defeated by Kenny Omega in what would be his final match in AEW. Between January and February 2024, Page made a handful of appearances for ROH,[48] before leaving both promotions.[49] In a July 2024 interview, Page described his tenure in AEW as "chaotic and unorganized".[50]

WWE (2024–present)

Page made his surprise WWE debut on the May 28, 2024 episode of NXT by attacking NXT Champion Trick Williams and revealing himself to be the one behind the attacks of Noam Dar and Oro Mensah of Meta-Four, thus establishing himself as a heel.[51] He officially signed with the NXT brand the following week and received a title match against Williams for the NXT Championship at NXT Battleground as part of his contract terms,[52][53] but failed to win the title.[54] On the June 18 episode of NXT, Page participated in the 25-man battle royal to earn a NXT Championship match at NXT Heatwave but he was attacked by Mensah seconds into the match, with both men exiting through the ropes. Later that night, he defeated the battle royal winner Je'Von Evans after claiming that he was never eliminated from the battle royal. With Page, Evans and Shawn Spears (who had defeated Williams in a non-title match) each having a claim to a title shot, NXT General Manager Ava scheduled a fatal four-way match for the title at Heatwave.[55] At the event on July 7, Page fell onto Evans after a Trick Shot by Williams and pinned him to win the title, setting the record for winning the championship in the quickest time (40 days) after his debut.[56] With this victory, Page proclaimed that his NXT Championship reign will be known as the Era of Ego.[57] On the July 16 episode of NXT, Page defeated Dante Chen to retain his title in his first title defense, but was attacked by Mensah after the match.[58] At Week 2 of NXT: The Great American Bash on August 6, Page defeated Mensah to retain the title and to end their feud.[59] At NXT No Mercy on September 1, Page successfully defended his title against TNA Wrestling's Joe Hendry with Williams as special guest referee.[60] At NXT's CW premier on October 1, Page lost the title back to Williams with CM Punk as the special guest referee, ending his reign at 86 days.[61] On the October 15 episode of NXT, Page competed in a triple threat number one contender's match for the NXT Championship against Je'von Evans and Wes Lee, where he would emerge victorious. The match would take place at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 27 in a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal match contested as a Devil's Playground match but Page failed to regain the title from Williams.[62][63]
