Cocomelon Lane is an American-Canadian children's musical television series, based on Cocomelon by YouTube Kids, and a production of Moonbug Entertainment, along with Atomic Cartoons and Infinite Studios, that premiered on Netflix on November 17, 2023.[1]Cocomelon Lane was described as "a more traditional preschool TV version" of the YouTube Kids channel, narrative- rather than singalong-driven.[2] It was built around a "'social-emotional learning curriculum" that focuses on milestone moments for preschoolers, and the accompanying feelings.[3] The series allowed Cocomelon characters to speak directly to the audience for the first time.[4]
Premise
JJ and his friends experience life's milestones, such as getting a haircut, visiting the dentist's office, being invited to a friend's house for dinner, and learning how to take care of a pet.[4]

JJ (voiced by Cruze McKinnon) is an Italian-American boy who is blue and likes sharks. JJ uses his ladybuglight toy to imagine and play pretend with all the Melon Patch Academy kids. JJ is the youngest of the three siblings.
Cody (voiced by Denzel Onaba) is an African-American boy who is green and likes dinosaurs.
Cece (voiced by Diana Tsoy) is an Korean-American girl who is pink and loves to play with kittycats.
Nina (voiced by Samantha Alarcon) is an Mexican-Kuwaiti girl who is yellow, likes rabbits, and loves to speak both Spanish and English.

Description
Every episode of Cocomelon Lane begins with JJ singing "Imagine with Me" with all the Melon Patch Academy kids as JJ uses his ladybug light toy to imagine and play pretend with all of our friends. After playing pretend, each character sings "About To Do Something New" as every character learns about ABCs, 123s, shapes, colors, animals, nursery rhymes, music, singing, etc. Once the song was finished at the end of every episode of Cocomelon Lane, each character discusses about everything.[4]
