Brasil Tennis Cup
This article is about the women's tennis tournament. For the men's tennis tournament, see Brasil Open.
Tennis tournament
The Brasil Tennis Cup is a professional women's tennis tournament contested in various Brazilian cities since 1977. The last edition was played on outdoor clay courts in Florianópolis, Brazil. Before 2014 and in 2016, the tournament was held on hard courts. The event is affiliated with the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), and is an Challenger-level tournament on the WTA Tour. Until 2016, it was classified as a part of WTA International tournaments.
In 2023 after a six year absence from tennis, Florianópolis returned to the circuit hosting a WTA 125 tournament called MundoTenis Open.[1][2]
