The 2024–25 season of the 2nd Division is the fourth season of the 2nd Division since its establishment as the third-tier of women's national league in Denmark.
Tiebreakers for league ranking
The following criteria are applied (in order from top to bottom) to determine the order of the teams in all rounds of the leagues:[1]
The total number of points;
Goal difference in all league matches;
Number of goals scored in all league matches;
Total number of points obtained in head-to-head matches;
Number of goals scored in head-to-head matches;
If two teams are still tied after all the above criteria are applied, a play-off match, with extra time and penalty shoot-out, if necessary, is held at a neutral ground to determine the order.
The team performance in the main round is reflected in the play-offs by each team being awarded 7 - position after main round points at the start of the play-offs.[1]

^Reserve teams are not allowed to advance beyond the 2nd Division and are automatically relegated to Kvindeserien if the main team gets relegated from the Women's League.
^The women's team is run in collaboration by the two Odense-based clubs. Dalum/Næsby used to compete in group 1 (east) of the 2023–24 2nd Division, but got reassigned to group 2 (west) based on geographical proximity.
^Kolding IF II has been removed from the official standings and match fixtures prior to the beginning of the season. No official statement has been issued.
