Qualification
The top 64 players from the Players Championships Order of Merit, which is solely based on prize money won in the twenty-two Players Championships events during the season, qualified for the tournament:[citation needed]
On 20 November, Mensur Suljović withdrew from the tournament citing family reasons. Under the rules of the tournament, the next highest qualifier took his place, which happened to be Benito van de Pas, with no draw adjustments being made.[2]
