American college football season
The 1940 Cincinnati Bearcats football team was an American football team that represented the University of Cincinnati as an independent during the 1940 college football season . The Bearcats were led by head coach Joseph A. Meyer and compiled a 5–3–1 record.[ 1]
Cincinnati was ranked at No. 112 (out of 697 college football teams) in the final rankings under the Litkenhous Difference by Score system for 1940.[ 2]
