Sports season
The 1922 Rock Island Independents season was their third in the league. The team matched their previous output of 4–2–1,[1] finishing fifth in the league. After the season they sold Ed Healey to the Chicago Bears for $100 and he became the first player ever to be sold in pro football.[2]
