Tembok Maroko

Tembok Sahara.

Tembok Maroko adalah sistem tembok pasir, bunker, kawat berduri, dan ladang ranjau sepanjang 2.720 kilometer di Sahara Barat. Tembok ini lebih panjang daripada tembok Dalam Jerman dan tembok Pemisah Israel. Tembok Maroko dibangun pada tahun 1981 untuk melawan gerilya Polisario.

Tembok dengan ketinggian maksimal enam meter ini bukan tembok yang tak dapat ditembus, tetapi merupakan sistem peringatan yang sangat efektif. Tembok ini dipersenjatai dengan sistem elektronik dan di belakang tembok ini terdapat artileri. Selain itu, terdapat pula banyak ranjau dan wilayahnya diawasi terus dengan satelit.

Sahara Barat telah dianeksasi oleh Maroko. Lebih dari 2/3 Sahara Barat masuk ke dalam tembok ini. Sisanya, yang disebut daerah bebas, dikuasai oleh Polisario. Perhatian internasional sendiri terhadap tembok ini kecil.
