Sindelfingen (bahasa Jerman Alemania: Sendelfenge) adalah sebuah kota di Baden-Württemberg, Jerman, dengan penduduk sebanyak 60.000 jiwa. Kota ini terletak 15 km barat daya Stuttgart.

Geografi

Kota ini berbatasan dengan Böblingen, Stuttgart dan Leonberg. Sungai Schwippe melalui wilayah Sindelfingen. Di utara terdapat cagar alam Glemswald.

Ekonomi

Ekonomi kota ini sebagian besar berbasis pada industri otomotif, dengan pabrik Daimler AG dan kantor Smart di sini. Pada Abad Pertengahan, kota ini dikenal akan industri pemintalannya, dan pada masa sekarang memiliki grosir mode.

Sejarah

Sindelfingen disebutkan pertama kali dalam dokumen tertulis pada tahun 1155, tetapi secara resmi kota ini baru didirikan pada tahun 1263 oleh Graf Rudolf von Tübingen-Herrenberg. Pada tahun 1535, kota ini menjadi Protestan menyusul Reformasi Gereja.
