Obstetri adalah tindakan medis yang berkaitan dengan perawatan ibu hamil dan persalinan sedangkan, ginekologi menangani penyakit apa pun yang berkaitan dengan organ reproduksi.[1] Obstetri sendiri, lebih banyak mengatasi permasalahan kebidanan dan yang berkaitan dengan perawatan ibu hamil, persalinan, dan bayi dalam kandungan, dan periode pasca melahirkan.[1]
