Nama negara Irlandia

Bagian depan sebuah paspor Irlandia yang menampilkan nama negara tersebut dalam dua bahasa resmi.

Menurut Konstitusi Irlandia, nama untuk negara Irlandia adalah Ireland (bahasa Inggris) dan Éire (bahasa Irlandia).[1] Dari tahun 1922 sampai 1937, nama resmi untuk negara Irlandia adalah Negara Bebas Irlandia. Yurisdiksi negara tersebut mencakup sekitar lima per enam wilayah Pulau Irlandia. Wilayah lainnya merupakan yurisdiksi Irlandia Utara, sebuah konstituen yang merupakan bagian dari Britania Raya. Pada tahun 1948, nama Republik Irlandia digunakan secara resmi untuk mendeskripsikan negara tersebut.[2]
