Masjaya

Prof. Dr. H. Masjaya, M.Si

Prof. Dr. H. Masjaya, M.Si adalah Rektor Universitas Mulawarman Periode 2014-2018 dan 2018-2022 (Dua Periode) serta Guru Besar pada Bidang Ilmu Pemerintahan, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik.[1] Masjaya yang sebelumnya menjabat sebagai Pembantu Rektor II Unmul ini mengungguli Prof. Dr. H. Zamruddin Hasid, SE., SU yang kembali mencalonkan diri, dan juga mengungguli Prof. Dr. Susilo, S.Pd, M.P. Berlangsung di Gedung D Lantai 2 Dikti Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemdikbud) Jakarta, pelantikan Rektor Unmul juga bersamaan dengan pelantikan beberapa Rektor Universitas lainnya, yakni Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, Universitas Malikul Saleh dan lainnya. Hadir pula Gubernur Provinsi Kalimantan Timur, Dr. H. Awang Faroek Ishak dan Wali kota Samarinda H. Syahari Jaang, SH., M.Si. Pelantikan langsung dipimpin oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Mohammad Nuh dan dihadiri perwakilan pejabat di lingkup Kemdikbud, dan pejabat masing-masing Universitas. Pelantikan secara resmi ditandai dengan pengalungan kalung tanda jabatan (Gordon) kepada Prof. Dr. H. Masjaya, M.Si.[2]
