Jakarta Marathon, nama resminya Mandiri Jakarta Marathon, adalah maraton yang dihelat setiap tahun di Jakarta, ibu kota Indonesia di Asia Tenggara. Maraton ini diakui oleh Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS)[1] dan International Athletic Association Federation (IAAF).[2] Maraton ini diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Pariwisata Pemerintah Indonesia. Pada tahun 2015, acara ini diadakan pada tanggal 25 Oktober dan diikuti oleh lebih dari 15.000 peserta dari 53 negara. Jakarta Marathon bertujuan menjadikan Jakarta destinasi wisata "kelas dunia", khususnya di bidang pariwisata olahraga. Acara ini diakui sebagai "kegiatan lari bersama terbesar di Indonesia".[3][4][5]. Pada tahun 2018, Jakarta Marathon kembali diadakan pada tanggal 28 Oktober 2018[6] dengan mengusung tema ' Stronger We Unite' .

Penyelenggaraan

Jakarta Marathon disponsori oleh Kementerian Pariwisata dan Perekonomian Kreatif Indonesia bekerja sama dengan pemerintah kota Jakarta.[7] Bank Mandiri, bank terbesar di Indonesia, merupakan sponsor utamanya,[8] sedangkan Persatuan Atletik Seluruh Indonesia (PASI) dan INSPIRO merupakan rekan kerja sama kegiatan ini.[5][9]

Kegiatan

Sekitar 10.000 orang ikut serta dalam maraton pertama tahun 2013. Jumlah peserta naik menjadi 14.000 orang pada tahun 2014 dan 15.000 orang tahun 2015.[3] Jakarta Marathon terbagi menjadi maraton penuh sejauh 42 km, maraton separuh sejauh 21 km, dan rute 10 km dan 5 km. Ada pula maraton khusus anak-anak bernama "Maratoonz".[10] Peserta berkebangsaan Jepang merupakan peserta asing dengan jumlah terbanyak pada maraton tahun 2013. Pada tahun 2014, jumlah peserta dari Afrika dibatasi karena wabah Ebola 2014. Hanya 9 pelari profesional dari Afrika Timur yang berpartisipasi dalam maraton 2014.[7] Pada tahun 2014, total hadiah Jakarta Marathon senilai Rp2,4 miliar,[5] sedangkan nilai hadiah tahun 2015 mencapai Rp2,6 miliar.[3]

Jalur

Monumen Nasional, garis awal dan akhir Jakarta Marathon

IAAF memasukkan rute Jakarta Marathon[11] di golongan "Grade A".[2] Rute maraton penuh dan separuh melintasi berbagai tempat terkenal di Jakarta, temrasuk Monumen Nasional, Masjid Istiqlal, Gereja Katedral Jakarta, Kota Tua, dan Alun-Alun Fatahillah.[5] Jakarta Marathon 2015 menggunakan rute alternatif dari dua maraton sebelumnya karena pembangunan jalur kereta bawah tanah sedang berlangsung. Rute maraton 2015 melintasi Monumen Nasional, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, lalu berbelok di Gerbang Pemuda ke arah Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Abdul Muis, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Pecinan, Museum Bank Mandiri, Jalan Gadjah Mada, Gereja Katedral, dan kembali di Monumen Nasional.[4]
