Luno (perusahaan bitcoin)

Luno (sebelumnya BitX) adalah perusahaan Bitcoin yang berdiri pada tahun 2013 dan berpusat di Singapura, dan telah beroperasi di sejumlah negara lainnya selain Singapura,[1] seperti Indonesia,[2] Malaysia,[3] Afrika Selatan,[4] Nigeria,[5] dan Kenya.[6] Luno masuk dan mulai beroperasi di Indonesia pada awal 2015.[7] Luno Indonesia menyediakan layanan untuk menyimpan Bitcoin, serta membeli dan menjual Bitcoin dengan Rupiah.[8] Pengguna aplikasi BitX di iOS dan Android dapat menyimpan, menjual, dan membeli Bitcoin tanpa membayar biaya apapun.[9]

Luno (sebelumnya BitX) memperoleh seed funding pertama sebesar US$824.000[10] dan Series A funding sebesar US$ 4 juta oleh Naspers pada tahun 2015.[11] Di Indonesia sendiri, BitX mendapatkan sejumlah suntikan dana dari Venturra Capital untuk pengembangan BitX Indonesia.[9]
