Louis Guillouet, comte d'Orvilliers

Louis Guillouet, comte d'Orvilliers, lahir di Moulins pada 26 Maret 1710 dan meninggal pada 1792 di kota yang sama, merupakan seorang perwira angkatan laut dan aristokrat Prancis abad ke-18. Dia bertugas selama lima puluh tahun di Angkatan Laut Kerajaan selama Perang Penerus Austria dan Perang Tujuh Tahun ; Letnan Jenderal Angkatan Laut dan Ordo Saint-Louis ia terkenal terutama selama Perang Revolusi Amerika Serikat dan khususnya di pertempuran Ushant pada Juli 1778, di mana ia mengalahkan armada Inggris Laksamana Keppel. Louis Guillouet berasal dari wangsa Bourbon yang anggotanya adalah pelaut dari ayah ke anak.[1] Nama Guillouet adalah nama kecil yang berasal dari bahasa Breton "Guillou", singkatan dari nama baptis Guillaume.
