Korpus kavernosum penis atau batang penis adalah salah satu dari dua bagian seperti spons pada jaringan ereksi yang berisi darah paling banyak saat penis mengalami ereksi.[1] Bagian ini sama dengan korpus kavernosum klitoridis pada perempuan. Batang penis memiliki jaringan ereksi berupa sepasang korpora kavernosa (secara harfiah berarti 'badan seperti gua') dengan struktur yang mirip.

Anatomi

Dua korpora kavernosa dan korpus spongiosum (disebut juga korpus kavernosum uretrae di buku-buku lama dan gambar di sebelah kanan) adalah tiga jaringan ereksi yang bisa mengembang sepanjang batang penis yang diisi dengan darah saat ereksi. Kedua korpora kavernosa terletak di sepanjang batang penis, dari tulang kemaluan hingga menyatu di kepala penis. Formasi ini membentuk jaringan seperti spons yang memiliki ruang tak beraturan untuk diisi darah yang dibatasi endotelium dan dipisahkan jaringan penghubung septa.[2][3]

Anatomi manusia laki-laki tidak memiliki benjolan vestibula, tetapi korpus spongiosum, daerah yang lebih kecil di bagian bawah penis yang berisi uretra dan membentuk kepala penis.
