Konsili Orange

Konsili Orange (atau Sinode Orange) terdiri dari dua sinode diadakan di Orange, Prancis. Yang pertama (441) membahas mengenai isu-isu kegerejaan. Yang kedua pada 529 menyelesaikan perselisihan antara pandangan Agustinus dan Semi-Pelagianisme.[1]

Pengaruh

Hasil dari konsili pertama sering dipakai pada debat modern mengenai penahbisan imam/pendeta wanita. Hasil dari konsili kedua berperan penting dalam menafsirkan pengajaran Santo Agustinus dan menjadi dasar dari doktrin dosa asal dan kejatuhan manusia Calvinisme.
