Kijang Emas

Kijang Emas Malaysia adalah koin emas bulion resmi Malaysia dan dicetak oleh Royal Mint of Malaysia. Koin ini pertama kali diterbitkan pada 17 Juli 2001.[1] Malaysia menjadi negara ke-12 di dunia yang menerbitkan koin emas bulionnya sendiri.[2]

Kijang Emas memiliki kemurnian emas sebesar 999,9 kemurnian milimal atau 24 karat. Koin ini tersedia dalam denominasi RM200, RM100, dan RM50 yang merupakan nilai nominal, dengan masing-masing memiliki berat 1 oz, ½ oz, dan ¼ oz. RM adalah singkatan dari ringgit Malaysia.

Harga beli dan jual kembali Kijang Emas ditentukan oleh harga pasar emas internasional yang berlaku.[3]

Sejarah

Kijang Emas Malaysia pertama kali dicetak pada Desember 2000 oleh Royal Mint of Malaysia dan diluncurkan oleh Perdana Menteri Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad pada 17 Juli 2001.
