Joseph Theodorus Wuliandi


Joseph Theodorus Wuliandi (lahir 5 September 1951) adalah pendiri dan pemilik pabrik Joger. Pada sekitar tahun 1970an, ia yang sedang menempuh kuliah di Hotelfachshule, Bad Wiesee, Jerman Barat, berkenalan dengan Gerhard Seeger. Keduanya menjadi kawan akrab yang sangat baik seperti saudara mungkin. Saking baiknya, saat Mr Joger menikah dengan istrinya Ibu Ery Kusdarijati, Mr Gerhard Seeger rela memberikan hadiah uang sebesar USD 20.000.

Uang yang banyak itu, jika di rupiahkan, akhirnya dipakai untuk modal usaha. Awalnya sih tak terpikirkan nama apa, tapi karena mengingat kebaikan sang sahabat, jadilah Pak Joseph menggunakan nama Gerhard dalam bisnisnya. Pak Joseph berinisiatif menggabungkan namanya dan Mr. Gerhard menjadi satu. Jadilah nama Joger tersebut, jika dilihat saksama merupakan gabungan Joseph dan Gerhard. Bermula dari satu toko souvenir kecil di Jalan Sulawesi, Denpasar, di depan Pasar Badung, nama Joger resmi dilahirkan tanggal 19 Januari 1981.

Nama Joger ini melekat terus, hingga akhirnya pada tanggal 7 Juli 1987, Joger membuka satu toko souvenir besar di Jalan Raya Kuta, Bali, yang semakin ramai, hingga kini. Tadinya yang hanya berencana membuka satu toko besar akhirnya memilih membuka satu lagi. Alasanya karena membludaknya pengunjung yang mengejutkan si pemilik sendiri. Mereka sampai memenuhi jalan di depan toko, membuat kemacetan, dan tempat parkir kecil itu selalu penuh oleh berbagai kendaraan bermotor.
