Jeffrey C. Alexander


Jeffrey C. Alexander adalah adalah seorang sosiolog dan tokoh dunia yang berkomentar mengenai paham yang berpengaruh di dunia saat itu. Jeffrey fokus menggeluti masalah-masalah tindakan sosial dan ketertiban sosial. Ia berkomentar tentang paham yang sedang menjadi perbincangan di dunia bagian timur yaitu Uni Soviet. Paham tersebut adalah Marxisme dan Sosialisme.[1]

Pada rentang waktu 1960-an dan awal 1970-an, ia berpartisipasi dalam gerakan protes mahasiswa di Harvard College dan Universitas California Berkeley. Marxisme sayap kiri menggambarkan usaha untuk mengatasi ekonomi Marxisme yang vulgar. Ia menggambarkan secara struktur material dalam kebudayaan, kepribadian, dan kehidupan sehari-hari lainnya.[1]
