Ignaius Kutu Acheamphong (21 September 1931 – 16 Juni 1979) adalah seorang Presiden Ghana periode 1972-1978. Dia dilahirkan di Gold Coast. Acheampong memimpin kudeta untuk menggulingkan pemerintah yang terpilih secara demokratis dari Partai Kemajuan dan pemimpinnya Dr Kofi Busia pada tanggal 13 Januari 1972. Ia menjadi Kepala Negara dan Ketua Dewan Penebusan Nasional (NRC), yang kemudian berubah menjadi Dewan Agung Militer pada tanggal 9 Oktober 1975, dengan Kolonel Acheampong sebagai ketuanya.
