Hapa

Hapa merupakan kurungan persegi panjang untuk menampung ikan sementara waktu agar mendapat pengawasan lebih saksama dan terlindung dari serangan hama serangga dan dibuat dari kain belacu, kasa plastik atau jala bermata anyaman kecil yang ditenggelamkan dalam air dengan bagian terbuka menghadap ke atas, dipasang di bawah atap peneduh, diikatkan pada empat batang bambu yang ditancapkan di dasar kolam dan harus dapat mengapung sedemikian rupa sehingga seperempat bagian muncul di permukaan. Dasar hapa tidak boleh menyentuh dasar kolam.[1][2]

Beberapa hapa yang dikenal, antara lain:[2]

  1. hapa pemijahan yang berguna untuk mengawinkan induk ikan, hapa jenis ini terbuat dari kain belacu atau kasa plastik;
  2. hapa penetasan yang berguna untuk menetaskan telur, hapa jenis ini terbuat dari kain belacu atau kasa plastik;
  3. hapa pembenihan yang berguna untuk membesarkan benih, hapa jenis ini terbuat dari kain belacu atau kasa plastik;
  4. hapa pemberokan yang berguna untuk menahan hasil panenan yang akan dijual, hapa jenis ini terbuat dari jala.
