Donasi organ adalah proses dimana seseorang mengijinkan organ mereka sendiri untuk diangkat dan ditransplantasikan ke orang lain secara sah entah sang penyumbang berada dalam keadaan hidup atau mati. Transplantasi umum meliputi ginjal, jantung, hati, pankreas, usus, paru-paru, tulang, sumsum tulang, kulit atau kornea.[1] Beberapa organ dan laipsan dapat disumbangkan oleh penyumbang dalam keadaan hidup, seperti ginjal atau separuh bagian hati, separuh pankreas, separuh paru-paru atau separuh usus,[2] namun kebanyakan donasi dilakukan usai penyumbang telah meninggal.[1]
