Aska (penyanyi)

Aska, Ryo Aska or Ryō Asuka (飛鳥 涼, Asuka Ryō) (Shigeaki Miyazaki (宮﨑 重明, Miyazaki Shigeaki) lahir 24 Februari 1958) adalah seorang penyanyi-penulis lagu Jepang.

Aska dikenal karena karyanya sebagai bagian dari duo musik Chage dan Aska. Sebagai komposer, ia menulis kebanyakan lagu-lagu hit utama untuk duo tersebut, seperti "Morning Moon", "Love Song", "Say Yes", dan "Meguriai". Lebih dari setengah singel yang mereka rilis ditulis olehnya. Ia juga menulis untuk beberapa penyanyi dan grup selain Chage dan Aska. Penulisan lagu buatannya untuk Hikaru Genji pada akhir 1980an memproduksi beberapa karya terkenalnya. Ia memulai karier solo pada 1987, dan sangat sukses pada paruh pertama 1990an. Lagu paling terkenalnya sebagai penyanyi solo adalah "Hajimari wa Itsumo Ame" (Awal Selalu Hujan), yang merupakan sebuah singel dari album solo keduanya. Lagu tersebut meraih urutan #2 di oricon dan terjual lebih dari 1,160,000 salinan. Kesuksesan lagu tersebut membuatnya meraih ketenaran di Asia Timur.[1][2][3]
